- Project: Audio redesign of movie scene - 5 minutes
We chose a scene of the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and removed all the audio except for the dialog. We then recomposed and recreated the music and sound effects.
This was probably the first time I actually composed music for film. It was for a school assignment, but in the end we did way more than was necessary. We didn’t really focus a lot on telling the story. We tried to make every fight scene as dramatic as possible. It took a lot of experimenting and finding out what each of us are good at.
Looking back at it years later, I feel like I’ve come a long way since this project. This project has thought me a lot about orchestration, balance, arrangement and tension. Also sound design was a big part of it which I had never done before.
